In cooperation with NBC-17 and others, we are proud to have this opportunity to give back to our neighbors. Cole Park Veterinary Hospital has enjoyed a successful relationship with our community since 1993, and we look forward to continuing to serve.

Cole Park Veterinary Hospital was contacted by Triangle Wishes, on behalf of Katherine and Garland King of Orange County, NC. They needed to house their Husky (Enoch) and Chow Chow (Canton) for 6 months after they had been exposed to a rabid raccoon. The situation became desperate when the King's realized that their pet's vaccinations had lapsed. By law, animals exposed to rabies must be quarantined or euthanized.

To complicate matters, this situation arose just a day before Katherine was to begin chemotherapy. At a loss of what to do, the Kings contacted NBC-17 and Triangle Wishes in hopes that a solution could be found.

When we were contacted by Triangle Wishes our entire practice felt this was a special opportunity to help a deserving family and their pets. Working with the family and Triangle Wishes, Cole Park Veterinary Hospital is pleased to board both Enoch and Canton for the necessary 6 month period, when they will return home.

Caring for Enoch and Canton for 6 months will require both love, attention, time and financial resources. Four Paws Animal Clinic has agreed to donate dog food and other needs as they may arise. Merial Limited has donated HeartGard and FrontLine for both pets.
